She has been called the “Backbone” of our Town’s Girl Scout program; assisting all level of troops from Daisy to Ambassadors. Nita also volunteers for the local Girl Scout Arizona Cactus-Pine Council in Phoenix as Gold Award Member, Getting Started Trainer, and Women & Young Women of Distinction silent auction committee member. She has earned several awards from GSACPC, including Outstanding Volunteer, Outstanding Leader, Thanks One Badge, and the Pearl Award. In addition, she has served on Fountain Hills “Make-A-Difference Day” committee and volunteered at fund-raisers for the Shonda Schilling Shade Foundation; educating people about skin cancer. Nita, a retired Delta flight attendant, is now Home Delivered Meals Coordinator for Fountain Hills.
