Holly Cruikshank, 2006 Inductee
After growing up in Fountain Hills, Miss Cruikshank made a name for herself on the Broadway stage in New York City. She started dancing at the age of three and became proficient in classical ballet, tap and jazz. As a talent show winner, she performed her first solo at Phoenix Symphony Hall at the age of five. She won a national ballet competition at age 13 and danced that summer on a VIP tour of Denmark and Russia. At Coronado High School, she was named Dancer of the Year in 1991 and performed with Ballet Arizona her senior year. She attended North Carolina School of the Arts for on year and then went to audition for a job with a Broadway musical. She joined a national tour of  “Hello Dolly.” Next was “A Funny Thing Happened on the way to the a Forum.” She was also a member of the original Broadway cast of “Fosse.” Her first lead roles were the “Girl in the Yellow Dress” in “Contact” and as Brenda in “Movin’ Out.” Her first movie was “The Producers” in 2005.
