Snow, Dr. Brewster

Dr. Brewster Snow, 2004 Inductee

Known as the “southern gentleman,” Dr. Snow retired in Fountain Hills after a renowned career as a civil engineer and educator. He received his bachelor of science degree from Duke University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Rutgers University and Duke. He was selected to attend a training course at the Atomic Research Center in Walnut Creek, California, and became certified to train other engineers in designing and building nuclear power plants. After moving to Fountain Hills he performed volunteer work and sat on the Advisory Board of the Family Health Center, the Community Association and The Club. He was an outspoken critic against the planned construction of Orme Dam, east of the community. During his term as Community Association president in 1980, he accepted the property deed from MCO Properties for the future Civic Center site.
