Val Stasik, 2004 Inductee

Fountain Hills’ own “Broadway Baby,” Val had assumed the helm of the Fountain Hills Community Theater in 1987 putting to use her experience as a professional performer and her degree in speech and drama. Staging their first royalty show, Godspell in 1987, the Theater progressed from two to three shows a year to fourteen to fifteen shows a year in 2004. The Theater has performed at nearly every community function that took place in Fountain Hills from the July 4th celebrations to the Women’s Club presentations. The Theater created all the displays for the original Avenue lighting and participated in numerous lighting programs. Val has enjoyed the hard-earned success of realizing three years running of the most awarded community theater in the state. Envisioning the future, Val hopes the Theater will achieve the stability of a grown child…something she can stand back and be proud of that stands on its own.
