Sandi Thompson, 2010 Inductee
A Fountain Hills resident since 1996, Sandi Thompson has been a member of the Community Chorus and the Chorus’s Chamber Singers. She has been a member of the Fountain Hills Cultural & Civic Association since 2003 and was president from 2005 to 2007. The Town’s collection of public art has more than tripled since she became chairperson of the Fountain Hills Public Art Committee which oversees that project. She was the first female president of the Fountain Hills Automobile Club. She is a past president of the Four Peaks Women’s Club. A volunteer at the Community Center from 2001 to 2006, she was named that facility’s Volunteer of the Year in 2003. She has been an active member of the Fountain Hills Chamber of Commerce since 2005 and has served on the Business Vitality Advisory Commission and the Chamber’s Visitors Bureau. She served on the Chamber’s Board of Directors serving as Secretary/Treasurer. She is an active member in the Fountain Hills Presbyterian Church and sings in the Church choir, often as a soloist. Other organizations for which she has served are the Historical Society, Sister Cities Corporation, the Fountain Hills Community Theater and the American Cancer Society.
